LK- EMR 4222 emulsion contains a very high molecular weight , reactive Polydimethyl Siloxane polymer. It can be used to enhance the performance of traditional crease resist resin systems. The cationic character of the emulsion make this material most suitable for application by padding. LK-EMR 4222 emulsion is typically used in fabric finishing formulations with cationic softeners or as the major component. It can also be used in combination with amino silicones micro or macro emulsions. Formulations of LK-EMR 4222 emulsions are best applied on conventional padding equipment. Exhaustion is also possible due to slightly cationic character of LK-EMR 4222 emulsion. For padding the a pick-up of 0.5 to 2.0 % silicone based on dried weight fabric. It imparts good softness to treated fabrics , without causing any yellowing . The emulsion can be cross linked to form an elastic finish, imparting stretch recovery to knitted goods.
