In line with tightening pollution norms, most refineries are required to reduce the sulphur content in fuel to very low levels (DHDS units). Sulphur being dusty powder material, is very difficult to package and transport. Silicone surfactants have low surface tension (20 dyne-cm), and are used as wetting agent to palletise sulphur powder. |
